A Good Yarn Shop In-House Projects
Most of what you see in the shop is created by the very same people who are helping you find just the right yarn, pattern and tools for your next project.
The wild frenzy of holiday knitting has come and gone, and no one is more thankful than yarn store owners and employees who work frantically to bring you new samples and ideas for holiday crafting while also creating gifts for our own families and friends!

Cynthia managed to make hats for her many nieces and nephews, as well as for her own children, Sandy made one gift - a snowman scarf for a snowman fanatic, and Joyce is still working on hat #2 for one of sons before he returns to college.

Gina is knitting for twins and had one jumper completed at last report, and Erin gifted two very special college professors with hand knit socks and a hand knit shawl.

The focus now turns to new ideas for the shop, and we're thinking about our homes and ways to use our knitting and crochet skills to brighten things up at home.  Think about all of those leftover full or partial skeins of yarns you have in your knitting basket - can they be used for an afghan or lap robe?  How about a throw pillow or two - try out a new skill like cables or lace to see how you like the results!  Not all knits have to be wearable!

The other main focus is classes and samples.  All of the instructors knit the sample projects for their classes, often more than once, before they teach the class so that they are as prepared as possible to teach that project.

Diana has pulled yarn for a top-down v-neck sweater for the grandkids, Andrea is finishing up a domino-knit shrug that we all love, and Gina is working on something lacey for her beginning lace class.

Cynthia's got just the collar to complete on her sweater and it will be ready to go - and is it gorgeous!
